Trades Information Night – Please register
You are invited to attend School District 42 Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows’ Trades Showcase Event. This year promises to be even bigger and better. Attendees will include Local, Provincial, and National industries such as Seaspan, Parkland Refining and Supply, Bosa Construction, Bird Construction, Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical, Ozz Electric and many, many more.
In all, more than 40 industries, post-secondary training institutions, employer organizations, tool suppliers, and union representatives will be present. Ask questions, Get answers!
The purpose of this showcase event is not only to promote SD 42 Trades Training programs, but also to highlight careers in the skilled trades. This interactive event will allow parents and students the ability to gain insightful information and employment opportunities directly from industry personnel.
The evening will begin with a panel discussion that will include industry professionals and past students’ success stories. After the panel discussion there will be time to circulate through the Trades Showcase Fair. There will also be a dedicated breakout session for women who are interested in the trades to explore options and have further discussion.

Note: Refreshments will be provided by our Vancouver Community College Professional Cook Level One students.
